Our relationship with the earth is sacred and inter-connected. Our product philosophy and responsible manufacturing is the foundation of our approach to sustainability. We believe that formulating concentrated products that are effective is the most powerful lever for minimizing impact.

Make and take only what you need.

We maximize healing performance and efficiency of ingredients in a number of ways, including formulating solutions that perform for their intended use, and selecting proven ingredients that perform consistently over time.

Responsible Sourcing of Packaging

Paper

Forests cover 31% of the land area on our planet. They help people thrive and survive by purifying water and air. Forests also play a critical role in mitigating climate change because they soak up carbon dioxide. Deforestation is a particular concern in tropical rain forests because these forests are home to much of the world’s biodiversity.

Progurt offices are paperless. Brochures are made from 40% recycled paper, FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council Certified), sourced from renewable rainforests. All cardboard packaging will also be made from 40% recycled cardboard, FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council Certified), sourced from renewable plantations. We aim to have this across all paper and cardboard by July 2024.

Plastic

Microplastic pollution is an emerging environmental concern with particular relevance to oceans and waterways. Microplastics are classified as plastic particles under 5mm in length. These particles come from a wide range of sources, including the degradation of larger plastic debris, textiles, car tires, and plastic packaging.

We are currently in the process of moving all plastic packaging to Bio PET, which has been produced from plant-based ingredients and agricultural activities, including molasses, hay and bagasse. We aim to have this 100% across all products by July 2024. Our next iteration of the process towards full sustainability is to move to Bio PET that is also fully biodegradable. We aim to have this across all products by July 2026.

Responsible Sourcing of Ingredients

Powders

Our goal is to source ingredients that are safe for people and the environment while also ensuring superior product quality and performance. Powder ingredients are always natural, non-synthetic raw materials and rely on active chemistry and bioavailbility to achieve their specific function, level of performance, and shelf-life.

Liquids

Our liquid ingredients are made from natural, non-synthetic raw materials and rely on active chemistry and bioavailability to achieve their desired function, performance level, and shelf-life. We prioritize the safety of our ingredients for both people and the environment, while also ensuring superior product quality and performance.

Animal Welfare

Animal Ingredients

We do not use any animal ingredients or by-products in Probiotic Sachets, Prebiotic, Chloride or PH Caps. We use one animal-based ingredient in Immuno Protein and Enzymes for its unique function. Our sourcing practices are guided through independently recognized global standards and supplier declarations to ensure that animal welfare is respected and the ingredients are traceable.

Animal Testing

We do not believe in or support animal testing.
We conduct human clinical trials and in-vitro testing.
